Karaoke at The Spot
If your stay falls on a Friday night, you’re in luck! The Spot,a laid-back restaurant serving up American and Mexican comfort food, transforms into a “come-as-you-are” karaoke party once the sun goes down. Don’t let the fluorescent lights fool you; there’s a good time waiting inside. You’ll find locals of all ages belting out ballads, and when the dance breaks hit, everyone joins in for the Electric Slide.
If you’re more of a spectator, sit back, enjoy the show, and don’t be surprised if someone offers you a slice of homemade sheet cake (Chocolate or Pineapple—choose wisely). Located less than two miles southeast on Highway 412 toward Jackson, The Spot is pure, small-town joy—no expectations required.
West TN Smokers BBQ
Memphis might get all the barbecue glory, but locals know that West TN Smokers, just four miles away in Alamo, serves some of the best ’cue around. Their food truck setup keeps things casual, with picnic tables under the open sky, or you can grab your order to go (or get it delivered via DoorDash). We’re partial to the pulled pork sandwiches, but fans rave about the BBQ bologna and loaded BBQ nachos. Bring a big appetite—you’ll want to try it all.
Stir Crockett
This bright, personality-packed café off the square in downtown Alamo serves delicious coffee and hearty breakfast and lunch options. Grab a brown sugar latte, settle in on their patio, and soak up the friendly, creative atmosphere that’s as warm as a Tennessee sunrise.
Burger Basket
A community staple in Bells offers hamburgers, chicken strips and other comfort foods at a no-frills, fast-serve, take-out counter with limited seating. Guests rave about the burgers and and are often surprised at the quality of this hidden gem!
El Mexicano
This casual Mexican eatery in nearby Alamo has an authentic vibe and friendly service. Local favorites are the Burrito Valeria, carnitas plate, Tilapia a la Mexicana.
